Vivek Nallur
Vivek works in the area of normative Multi-Agent Systems that adapt in response to continuous interactions with humans at University College Dublin (Ireland). This leads very neatly on to social simulation, and a focus on how norm compliance and ethical outcomes evolve across contexts, incentives and oversight conditions. He is interested in finding out what mechanisms are robust, while others are behaviourally fragile.

Liu Yang
Dr. Liu Yang is an Associate Professor at the School of Architecture and Design, Beijing Jiaotong University (China) and serves as the Secretary General of the Hebei Key Laboratory of Transport Space Design and Digital Technology. Her research focuses on human-centered design of urban transport infrastructure spaces as well as digital and intelligent urban design. She has developed agent-based simulation models for complex adaptive systems of “transport–space–human” in cities, as well as web-based GIS assessment platforms and other supporting technologies. Dr. Yang received her Ph.D. training through a joint doctoral program at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Imperial College London. She previously worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Associate Researcher at Southeast University.

Samuel Ringier
Sam develops agent-based models to analyse how social networks, motivations and policies shape decision-making in socio-ecological systems. He is a doctoral researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL) and a PhD student at the Chair of Forest and Environmental Policy at the University of Freiburg (Germany). Within the Horizon Small4Good project, he applies the ABM approach to study forest management decisions and collaboration among European small forest owners.

Aytalina Kulichkina
Aytalina Kulichkina is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna (Austria). She is currently developing the core modeling framework for the Horizon Europe WHAT-IF project, using agent-based modeling and large language models to simulate online communication in the political information environment. Her research interests include political communication, social media and computational methods in the social sciences.

Katharina Luckner
Katharina used to split her time between the Human Rights Nudge project at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), where she developed agent-based models of compliance with human rights judgements, and the Institute of Law and Economics at the University of Hamburg, where she completed her PhD in political science in 2024. Her current research broadly asks under which conditions people support and adhere to specific laws and policies, and how institutional design features contribute to these conditions. She is especially interested in applying experimental and computational methods to legal research.
