Social Simulation Conference 2026 (SSC2026)

The 21st annual Social Simulation Conference (SSC 2026) will take place from August 24-28, 2026 at the University of Durham, UK.

The conference is one of the key activities of the European Social Simulation Association (ESSA), aimed at promoting social simulation in Europe and elsewhere. This year’s special theme is “Embracing the social in computational social science.” The Durham Research Methods Centre is delighted to host this conference as part of our commitment to promoting cutting edge methods in social science.

Being an ESSA member means to be active part of a vivid and growing multi-disciplinary community, obtain benefits and discounts to participate to annual ESSA meetings, promote your research to a wide audience and find collaboration opportunities. Annual fees are 50 € for tenured academics, postdoctoral students, practitioners and public/private organisation employees and 30 € for under, postgraduate and PhD students.
